This is a barebones system. Stand-alone build as you go.
All textured matte black powder coating.
Starting with 11 GA USA Steel, we have created a robust product that inspires the off-roader and overlander within every FJ owner. No flimsy, vibrating aluminum here. Zinc-plated mounting hardware is included. All roof rack items feature anti-rust Zinc powder protection under a textured matte black finish.
Pictures may be shown with additional options.
This portion of the rack system will include the following.
- Two backbone rails, powder-coated in a textured matte black finish.
- Six Orange Boxx C-Channeled cross bars include slots with holes along the top. They feature pre-drilled holes on the sides for concealing wires for roof lights. The bars are powder-coated in a matte textured black finish.
- 1 Flat fairing.
- Featuring precisely spaced holes for easy mounting of MAXTRAX with mounting pins.
Options menu explained:
Which fairing do you want on your roof rack? Stock includes our 40" x 3" light bar fairing. This light bar keeps your light below the upper load area. The fairing has center holes designed to mount up to 9" lights centered in the built-in slots. An optional flat fairing is available. No lights come with a light bar fairing.
Optional backup light crossbar. If you choose this option, we will remove one of the six crossbars from the package and install this one. It is designed to hold a 3.00 x 2.00 pod light in the corners next to the cladding area. It will also keep the light .250 inches below the load area of the roof rack.
Roof rack to roof bolt install kit. If you already have the FJ Cruiser roof rack installed on your FJ Cruiser, you won't need to replace it. Just reuse what you have. But if you don't have one, we have a kit for that.
This system only sets 4" above the tallest apex of your roofline. No more compromising on what your roof rack can do. We wanted a roof rack that adapts to your needs, whether it's for a rooftop tent, a side awning, or both at once with ease. You can purchase each piece individually or buy everything together. The matte black color is offered at no additional cost. With our rail system, you can attach your Baja or Gobi racks with or without our side cladding. The front clad section will come in standard black, while the back half can be customized in a different color. As engineers, we've designed a rack that makes others think, "Why didn't we do that?"
